On November 2 and 3, employees of the technical department of OOO “VolgogradNIPImorneft” took part in the XIV International Workshop on Foreign and International Standards “Digitalization and standardization as ways to achieve sustainable development goals”. The event has been organized by the “Kodeks” consortium jointly with the Committee for Industrial Policy and Technical Regulation of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
Presentations have been made by representatives of SAE International, American Petroleum Institute API, ASTM International, Austrian Standards Institute ONORM, Finnish Standards Association SFS, International Electrotechnical Commission, FSFI “Russian Standardization Institute” and others.
Experts and participants of the seminar have discussed topical issues of copyright and licensing, registration of foreign standards and their translations, machine-readable format of foreign and international standards, their use in modern conditions.
The report of the German Standardization Institute DIN, which presented a scenario for the development of digital standardization for the next ten years, was of particular interest. German experts build forecasts of the use of artificial intelligence in standardization.
